The Customer: A leading Business Process Management (BPM) consultancy in the US, with leading global brands in Pharmaceuticals, Energy and Consumer Products sector in their portfolio.
The Requirement: To leverage their expertise in BPM by building an Accelerator Platform. This would facilitate seamless change management during implementation of the BPM process and make it more controllable. The accelerator was to ease the adoption of BPM tool sets in the organization and also provide top management dashboard visibility of the progress being made.
The Challenge: Although possessing a good level of expertise in Business Process Management, they had limited expertise in developing an Accelerator Platform that could be shrink-wrapped into a product.
The product was required to be built in an incremental manner so time-to-market would be minimal and could also be easily customizable for customer specific requirements.
The Solution: The BPM Accelerator Platform was built using the Agile process for development. Development was done in two week cycles, with an incremental release of the product being made available twice a month.
Kanaka took up the entire responsibility of gleaning the requirements and setting up a Product Management plan, undertaking not only development but also testing. Since the first release, the team at Kanaka is also responsible for the Release Management of the product.
After the product was released, Kanaka has also been responsible for remote implementation of the product at various customer locations and has also been providing 24 x 7 support on L3 issues.

The Customer: A product company in the UK and has developed a software platform that is implemented at Tier-1 financial institutions around Europe and US and is used for two-way customer relationship through multiple channels.
The Requirement: The customer has a platform built over a period of 10 years that had been implemented with multiple large scale financial institutions. Also in the pipe line were a significantly large number of customers where the product was being implemented. This required them to invest in additional resources to support their ever increasing customer base.
The Challenge: As the platform had been built over time, it had a high learning curve.
Considering the number of customer implementations lined up, it was imperative to hit the ground running as they required developers to pitch in almost immediately and help them across the line. Working predominantly with financial institutions, security considerations were of utmost importance.
With a limited set of developers, it was a tight rope walk to cope with existing customer changes, new customer projects and most importantly the next generation platform.
The Solution: The customer wanted to invest in a partner who would work closely with them and make a commitment to support their growth strategy.
Given the security considerations related to data and IP, we committed to the customer that the team would be isolated and all the members on the team would be named.
A hiring plan was built based on their business projects and a training schedule was envisioned to ensure that resources joining the development team were ready to jump into development according to the customer schedule.
Kanaka ensured the customer that changes to the existing product would be managed by the team at Kanaka, while the customer’s team focused on the next generation of the product.
